various photos showing the process of making the paper-cut including the method ( how ever amateur) to make the elements move.
Paper cut illustrations mocked up with the book, if printed as a final book it would feature actual paper-cuts. The outer image folds back to reveal the map of a child’s mind as described in peter pan. The flamingo and gnome also move via card tabs.
Here is the final net of my book cover. The front page is all paper cut and would be on the final book however for the purpose of this i have composed the book using photographs of the final papercuts.
The front cover features 3 skeleton leaves as mentioned in the first chapter, along with a stained glass window of the jolly roger. The open window is an iconic scene for peter pan so i felt as though this should make the front cover. Also because it is so iconic it doesnt need the name peter pan to be on the cover.
The spine is just a simple blue colour with white text in baskerville over layed and the back page has a quote pin pricked into it however you can only see this when held to the light.
